VETERANS ONE-TIME CAR FIX ALLOWANCE: (benefits.va.gov/compensation..)
Service members and Veterans may be eligible for a one-time payment of not more than $20,235.20, beginning 10-01-16, toward the purchase of an automobile or other conveyance if you have certain service-connected disabilities. The grant is paid directly to the seller of the automobile and the Service member or Veteran may only receive the automobile grant once in his/her lifetime.
Long Term Care and Housing: Long-term care can be expensive, which is why the Aid and Attendance benefit is so helpful to pay for the cost of assisted living, nursing homes and other long-term care options. The VA provides a guide to benefits that can be used to pay for care. The primary requirements for Aid and Attendance are that the veteran served during wartime, that the veteran meets asset and income limits, and requires care.
Couples have the ability to receive up to $25,020 a year, and the Aid and Attendance benefit will help with a large portion of long-term care costs. Assistance is also available for the spouses of veterans.
The Bunker: Program Only available to Veteran entrepreneurs.
Located nationwide, and launched in 2014, (I was there at the launch here in Chicago),
Their main Hub is Chicago. I was able to finally join on Friday, their newest workshop.
